Required before arrival

Complete the Online Booking First

Please complete the CJSuspension online service booking before dropping off your suspension.

The booking provides the workshop with:

  • Your name, phone number and email address
  • The bike and suspension details
  • The service you want completed
  • A description of any leaks, noises, damage or performance problems
  • Collection or return-delivery information
  • Any rider and setup information required for custom tuning

A completed booking helps the workshop identify the correct service and match the suspension to the correct customer immediately.

When you arrive

Dropping Off Your Suspension

  1. Complete the online booking before travelling to the workshop.
  2. Clean off heavy mud and loose dirt.
  3. Bring the suspension component and any parts required for servicing or setup.
  4. Make sure your name is attached to or supplied with the component.
  5. Tell the workshop about any recent crash, unusual noise, air loss, oil leak or previous repair.
  6. Confirm whether you will collect the suspension or require return courier delivery.

Do not leave unidentified suspension or loose components without confirming the booking details.

Bring the parts needed for the job

What to Bring

  • Fork service: the complete fork unless the workshop has requested a specific assembly
  • Rear-shock service: the rear shock and current coil spring where setup or spring assessment is required
  • Dropper-post service: the dropper post and any model-specific actuator parts required for testing
  • Custom tuning: accurate rider, bike, suspension and current-setting information
  • Mounting-hardware work: the relevant reducers, spacers and hardware
  • Fault diagnosis: any parts required to reproduce the fault, plus photos or video where useful

Keep loose components together in a labelled bag.

Component service is preferred

Do You Need to Bring the Complete Bike?

Forks, rear shocks and dropper posts should normally be removed from the bike before arrival.

A complete bike may be useful when the work involves:

  • Suspension setup or sag measurement
  • Front-to-rear suspension balance
  • Frame or spring-clearance checks
  • Intermittent noises that may come from another bike component
  • Shock mounting hardware or frame-interface problems
  • Installation issues involving a remote lever, cable or seat clamp

Contact CJSuspension before bringing or sending a complete bike so suitable workshop space can be confirmed.

Remove components correctly

Need Help Removing the Suspension?

If you are not confident removing the fork, rear shock or dropper post, ask a local bicycle workshop to complete the removal.

Incorrect removal can damage brake hoses, threads, frame hardware, shock shafts, cables, electrical connections or mounting interfaces.

Keep all model-specific spacers, reducers and small components together. Do not use gripping tools on stanchions, damper shafts or sliding dropper-post surfaces.

Workshop preparation

Clean Off Heavy Dirt Before Arrival

Please remove heavy mud, loose dirt and excessive grease before dropping off suspension.

The component does not need to be polished or completely degreased. Avoid directing high-pressure water into seals, adjusters or openings.

A reasonably clean component makes the initial inspection easier and reduces the risk of contamination entering the suspension during disassembly.

Before workshop work begins

Initial Inspection

The suspension is inspected before servicing or repairs proceed.

The workshop checks for visible damage, contamination, oil leakage, air loss, worn mounting interfaces and other signs that may change the required work.

If significant additional repairs, a different service level or higher-cost replacement components are required, CJSuspension will contact you before major additional work proceeds.

Efficient workshop servicing

Target Turnaround

The target workshop turnaround is normally 24–48 hours after the suspension arrives and the booking information is complete.

Turnaround can be longer when:

  • Specialist or uncommon replacement parts are required
  • Additional damage is discovered during disassembly
  • The fault is intermittent or difficult to reproduce
  • Custom tuning requires further setup information
  • A component must be ordered from a supplier
  • The workshop is operating at peak seasonal capacity

CJSuspension will advise you when a job is expected to take longer than the normal target.

Communication during the job

Workshop Updates and Repair Approval

You may be contacted when the inspection identifies significant additional work, replacement parts or a service requirement different from the original booking.

Keep your phone number and email address current and check messages while the suspension is in the workshop.

Delays in approving required repairs can extend the total turnaround time.

When the work is complete

Collection and Payment

CJSuspension will confirm when your suspension is ready for collection.

Please collect during the standard workshop hours unless another time has been arranged.

Check that you receive all springs, mounting hardware, removed components or other customer-supplied parts that need to be returned with the suspension.

Do not travel to collect the job until you have received confirmation that the work is complete.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about booking, drop-off, collection, complete bikes, turnaround times and courier servicing.

Do I need to book before dropping off suspension?

Yes. Complete the online service booking first so the workshop has your contact details, suspension information and requested work before the component arrives.

Where is the CJSuspension workshop?

The current Queenstown workshop address is shown in your booking confirmation and current customer correspondence. Check the address before travelling or sending a parcel.

What are the workshop drop-off hours?

Standard drop-off and collection hours are 7:30 am–3:30 pm, Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays and notified workshop closures.

Do I need an exact appointment time?

Complete the online booking before arrival. Standard component drop-off can normally be completed during workshop hours unless the booking confirmation states that an arranged time is required.

Can I bring the complete bike?

Contact CJSuspension first. Suspension components should normally be removed, but a complete bike can be useful for setup, clearance checks or diagnosis of noises and mounting problems.

Workshop services are not normally completed as a while-you-wait service. The suspension must be booked, checked in and collected after completion has been confirmed.

How long will the service take?

The target workshop turnaround is normally 24–48 hours. Parts availability, additional damage, specialist repairs and seasonal workload can extend the job.

How will I know when the suspension is ready?

CJSuspension will contact you when the workshop work is complete and the suspension is ready for collection or return delivery.

Can I send suspension from outside Queenstown?

Yes. Forks, rear shocks and compatible dropper posts can be sent to the workshop by tracked courier from anywhere in New Zealand.

Is customer parking available?

Follow the current parking and access instructions supplied with your booking confirmation. Do not block neighbouring businesses, accessways, workshop doors or loading areas.
