6. Shopify and payments

Our online store is hosted by Shopify. Shopify processes information needed to operate the store, provide checkout, prevent fraud, process transactions and support ecommerce services.

Payment providers process payment information under their own terms and privacy policies. CJSuspension does not control every aspect of a payment provider’s systems.

7. Information stored or processed outside New Zealand

Some service providers may store or process information outside New Zealand.

Where the Privacy Act 2020 requires it, we will take reasonable steps to ensure that overseas disclosures have appropriate privacy safeguards, or that another lawful basis applies.

Cloud providers may hold information on our behalf. CJSuspension remains responsible for personal information as required by applicable law.

8. Cookies and analytics

Our website and service providers may use cookies, pixels, local storage and similar technologies to:

• keep the website and cart functioning
• remember preferences and sessions
• understand website use and performance
• prevent fraud and improve security
• measure advertising and marketing effectiveness
• provide relevant content and advertising where permitted.

You can control cookies through your browser and available consent settings. Blocking some cookies may affect website functions, checkout or saved preferences.

Because cookie names and providers can change, this policy describes the categories of cookies rather than listing every individual cookie.

9. Marketing

We may send product news, service updates, offers and other marketing where you have consented or where permitted by law.

You can unsubscribe using the link in a marketing email or by contacting cjsuspension@gmail.com.

Unsubscribing from marketing does not prevent us from sending necessary order, booking, service, payment, safety or account communications.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the information we hold.

No internet transmission, storage system or security measure is completely secure. You are responsible for keeping account credentials confidential and for contacting us promptly if you believe your account or information has been compromised.

11. Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably required for the purposes for which it was collected, including providing services, keeping service and warranty records, meeting tax and accounting obligations, resolving disputes, preventing fraud and complying with law.

Information that is no longer reasonably required will be securely deleted, destroyed or anonymised where practicable, subject to backup and legal retention requirements.

12. Access and correction

You may ask for access to personal information CJSuspension holds about you and request correction if you believe it is inaccurate.

We may need to verify your identity before responding. We may refuse or limit a request only where permitted by law.

Contact cjsuspension@gmail.com with the subject line “Privacy request”.

13. Privacy breaches

If a privacy breach occurs, we will assess and respond to it in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020.

Where a breach is likely to cause serious harm, we will notify the Office of the Privacy Commissioner and affected individuals as required by law.

Our website may link to third-party websites, services or social media platforms. CJSuspension is not responsible for the privacy, security or content practices of third parties. Review their policies before providing personal information.

15. Children

Our website and services are not directed specifically at children. If you provide personal information about another person, including a minor, you confirm that you are authorised to do so.

16. International customers

Customers outside New Zealand may have additional privacy rights under the laws that apply to them. We will comply with applicable obligations where required.

If CJSuspension begins actively targeting customers in a jurisdiction with additional requirements, this policy may be updated and additional notices may apply.

17. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes to our practices, providers or legal obligations. The updated version will be posted on our website with a revised date.
