Meet Jimmy Pollard
Enduro racing, alpine missions and making the most of riding in Queenstown.
Based in Queenstown, Jimmy spends as much time as possible in the hills looking for new lines and revisiting old favourites. He focuses on a handful of Enduro events through the season while also creating content from local missions, alpine rides and group rides around Queenstown.
Jimmy started riding dirt jumps and digging rock-roll lines in Alexandra while at high school. A couple of years later he moved into downhill racing and spent around five or six years following the New Zealand national circuit.
After plenty of injuries and missed opportunities, a trip to Canada helped change the direction of his riding. He came home with a bigger appreciation for long days on the trail bike, technical terrain and pushing into larger, sketchier lines.
After getting a taste of the early EWS scene, Enduro became a major focus. These days Jimmy mixes Enduro racing with the occasional downhill or XC event, long alpine missions, local exploration and plenty of riding around Queenstown.
