Air-spring performance
What the Luftkappe Changes
Luftkappe increases the negative air-spring volume in compatible forks. Vorsprung uses that larger negative chamber to soften the initial stroke, improve sensitivity and allow a more supportive pressure setup through the middle and end of the travel.

Luftkappe Compatibility
Vorsprung's current product range includes kits for selected Fox 34, 36, 38 and 36SL air-spring generations plus selected RockShox Pike, Lyrik, Zeb and Domain applications. The exact product label and internal air-spring design must be checked before installation.
Luftkappe remains compatible with the fork's stock volume spacers where specified by Vorsprung, but the correct spacer count and pressure setup can change after installation.

Luftkappe Service, Inspection and Setup Support

Fork and Air-Spring Service
The air spring is opened, inspected, cleaned, lubricated and rebuilt correctly during installation or scheduled servicing.
Pressure and Sag Setup
Pressure is re-established after installation and the chambers are equalised correctly before sag and ride-height checks are made.
Volume-Spacer Review
Luftkappe is designed to work with stock volume spacers, but the useful spacer count may differ from the fork's previous setup.
Damper Settings Rechecked
The Luftkappe changes the spring curve rather than the damper itself. External damping settings are rechecked after the spring setup is established.
