Air-spring performance
What the Secus Changes
Secus uses an enlarged negative chamber, Vorsprung's Midstroke Support Valve and additional lower-leg air volume to reshape the spring curve. The aim is a softer initial stroke, stronger mid-stroke support and a wider usable range of end-stroke progression while retaining air-spring adjustability.

Vorsprung uses a larger negative air chamber to reduce the initial spring rate and improve small-bump compliance.

The proprietary MSV boosts the mid-stroke spring rate to improve support, predictability, ride height and compliance.

More Progression Tuning Range
The enlarged lower-leg volume reduces excessive progression and allows the end-stroke ramp to remain tunable with the fork's standard volume spacers.

Secus Compatibility
Vorsprung's current footstud families cover selected Fox 36, Fox 38, Fox 40, RockShox Lyrik, Zeb, 35 mm BoXXer and 38 mm BoXXer applications. The exact fork generation and air-spring parts still need to be confirmed before installation.
Secus changes the spring system, not the damper. It is not compatible with Smashpot, and Vorsprung does not recommend combining it with Luftkappe.

- Set a safe starting pressure within the fork manufacturer's limit
- Charge and verify the Midstroke Support Valve

Secus Service, Inspection and Setup Support
CJSUSPENSION can service the host fork, inspect the Secus hardware, service the Secus body and reset the air-spring setup for the current rider and bike.
Host Fork Service
Lower-leg and air-spring servicing continues using the fork manufacturer's procedures and parts. Secus footstud O-rings are inspected during service.
Secus 200-Hour Service
Vorsprung recommends cleaning and regreasing the Secus Midstroke Support Valve and IFP every 200 hours, or about every four lower-leg services.
Air Pressure Setup
Secus commonly runs higher air pressure than the same fork in stock form. The fork manufacturer's maximum pressure rating still applies and is checked during setup.
Lightweight External System
Vorsprung lists the Secus at approximately 130 g and designed it to transfer between compatible forks with the appropriate footstud.

Can CJSUSPENSION supply and install Vorsprung Secus?
Yes, for compatible Fox and RockShox applications. Exact fork model, generation, travel and air-spring configuration are required before the correct Secus footstud is confirmed.
Does Secus change my fork damper?
No. Vorsprung states that the spring and damper are physically and functionally separate. Secus changes the spring curve, although you may prefer different external damper settings after the spring behaviour changes.
Can Secus be used with Smashpot or Luftkappe?
No with Smashpot. Vorsprung also states that Secus should use the stock air piston rather than Luftkappe, because the combination does not perform well.
