Fox 831 Fork Scratch Repair
Fox 831 stanchion scratch repair for suitable damage to improve the sealing surface and reduce further seal damage.
- Damage assessed before repair
- Damaged area cleaned and prepared
- Scratch filled with epoxy
- Repair left to cure for 24 hours
- Once cured, epoxy smoothed and finished
- Stanchion sealing surface checked before use
General wear is usually not suitable for this repair, as the epoxy needs a defined scratch to bond to. We’ll assess the damage first and advise whether repair or stanchion replacement is the best option.

Fox 831 Service FAQs
Do you still service Fox 831 forks?
Yes, where the correct service parts and technical information are available. We confirm the fork generation before ordering any model-specific parts.
Can I courier my Fox 831 to CJSUSPENSION?
Yes. Book your service online, complete the service form, then use one of the courier links on our booking page to arrange tracked shipping directly to our Queenstown workshop.
Can you service or tune the Fox 831 damper?
Compatible removable FIT damper cartridges can be serviced and custom tuned. Exact suitability depends on the damper fitted to the fork.
Can you change the travel on a Fox 831?
Travel adjustment depends on the 831 generation. Some earlier versions use internal travel spacers rather than a replacement air shaft, so we confirm the fork before carrying out any travel change.
