We service current and earlier Öhlins STX22 Air shocks. Each shock is fully inspected during servicing, and we’ll contact you before carrying out any additional repairs or replacement work unless an additional-work allowance has been selected on the booking form.
25hr Öhlins STX22 Air Service
A clean, re-grease and lubrication service for new or low-hour air shocks, or as a refresh between larger service intervals.
- Air pressure recorded
- Damper checked on hand dyno. If aerated, a 100hr service is required.
- Mounting hardware inspected for wear
- Air sleeve removed and cleaned
- Air sleeve seals cleaned and inspected for wear. If worn, a 50hr service is required
- Seals re-greased and reused
- Air sleeve grease and lubrication refreshed
- Shock air sleeve rebuilt
- Air chamber charged with nitrogen
- Air pressure returned to the original setting
- Function checked

A mid-interval air sleeve service to replace seals, refresh lubrication and keep the shock running smoothly between complete services.

- Shock inspected for wear or damage
- Air sleeve seals replaced

If the damper is aerated or further wear is found, a 100hr service or additional work may be required.

- Damper vacuum-bled
- Nitrogen charge renewed in the air sleeve and damper IFP chamber
- Shock rebuilt and function checked
- Adjuster settings and air pressure returned to the original or recommended starting point
